Aperlax Tablets for Constipation Relief

Aperlax contains OPTIMUM CONCENTRATED PLANT EXTRACTS Senna (standardized to 7.5mg sennosides), Amalaki, Haritakiand Bibhitaki.

• Senna (Cassia angustifolia): The leaves and the fruit of the Senna plant are used to make medicine. It is used to treat constipation and also to clear the bowel. Senna is also used for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and weight loss. Senna contains many phytochemicals called sennosides. Sennosides irritate the lining of the bowel, which causes a laxative effect.

• Amalaki (Emblica officinalis): The herb is a nutritive, rejuvenative, energy-promoting and disease-preventing tonic. Charaka samhita mentions amalaki as one of the most potent and nutritious herb. It also says “Amalaki is the best rejuvenative herb”, and specifically observes that amla is a great rasayana that helps to protect from disease and reduce the possibilities of premature ageing. Vitamin C present in Emblica officinalis is one of the main factors that can help to retrieve or refill the energy lost by body. Amla-berry increases energy and removes fatigue by supporting body’s functions and cleansing the blood and the micro-channels of the body. Note: Triphala is a combination of Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki.

• Adults: One to two tablets at bed-time, or as recommended by the physician.
• Children 6-12 years: One tablet at bed-time, or as recommended by the physician.
